When I took over as CEO in the fall of 2024, my aim was to stick with what had proven successful while also setting new priorities. When revising the 2025-2028 corporate strategy, a fresh outside perspective like that of the experts at BearingPoint was just as important to me as the further development of the content. With its sound and competent outside perspective, BearingPoint provided important impetus for strategy revision.
BearingPoint succeeded in quickly and thoroughly understanding the complexity of our corporate structure and the diverse fields of activity. A key aspect of the entire process was to moderate the differing opinions, requirements, and wishes of the various individuals and committees involved, from employees to management to the board of directors, and steer them in the right direction. BearingPoint successfully accomplished this.

These insights were combined with internal findings to define strategic scenarios and pivot points. Through workshops, the team outlined growth opportunities and adjustments to align BVZ’s strategy with both internal strengths and market dynamics.

Building on these insights, BearingPoint helped BVZ define strategic directions, revise its framework, and create an implementation roadmap. After the strategy was adopted in fall 2024, BearingPoint managed operational execution, prioritizing optimization measures for timely, effective delivery. This collaborative approach combined analytical rigor with engagement, enabling BVZ to evolve confidently and seize new growth opportunities.

BVZ Holding AG entered the 2025–2028 strategy period from a position of strength, supported by a solid economic foundation and sustained growth. The 2025 annual report highlights a 6.6% increase in earnings compared to the previous year and a record number of passengers, confirming the company’s robust performance. Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, BVZ anticipates continued expansion in its core tourism and mobility sectors, ensuring it remains well-positioned for future opportunities.

To secure this trajectory, BVZ undertook a comprehensive strategic process validated by the Executive Board and Board of Directors. This included documenting insights from leadership interviews and employee workshops, formulating strategic directions backed by research, and developing future scenarios to test their resilience. The strategy now serves as a roadmap for operationalization, with BearingPoint supporting the Executive Board in translating strategic ambitions into actionable steps and an implementation plan that drives sustainable growth.
